About BBKA modules

I have paid for 2 module exams to be taken this November 2015.

Module 1 and Module 2.

There are 7 modules to do in total. You can take up to four at a time but I’ve opted to do two this time. We’ll see how much of a mistake that is.

There are about 8 weeks until the exam so I will be splitting the modules up into about 6 chunks each and revising one chunk of each per week.
This is going to be a record of me looking at questions and researching information.

The BBKA modules are:

Module 1 – Honey bee Management

Module 2 – Honey bee Products and Forage

Module 3 – Honey bee Pests, Diseases and Poisoning

Module 5 – Honey bee Biology

Module 6 – Honey bee Behaviour

Module 7 – Selection & Breeding of Honey bees

Module 8 – Honey bee Management, Health and History

  1. I found doing these first two together fairly easy. The exam timing in November meant I had plenty of time to revise for them.
The next exams in March I’ve opted to only do one. I ummed and arred quite a lot about doing Module 3 and 7 together and had started revising 7 as well as 3, but after a couple of weeks I found it a bit harder going timewise, so have opted to just do Module 3 in March.

And yes I passed Modules 1 and 2. I got a pass in module 1 and a distinction in module 2. (64 and 82% respectively)
